Dauphin is rich with nature, culture, history and events. Nestled between the beautiful Riding Mountain National Park and Duck Mountain Provincial Park, it is a gateway to pristine wilderness, wildlife and clear blue lakes. A mecca for hunting and fishing, Dauphin was voted one of the top 3 fishing spots in Canada in the WFN "Ultimate Fishing Town" contest in 2010!

Known as the "City of Sunshine" (it receives sunshine 21% of the time – one of the highest amounts in Canada!), it is also a City of Festivals, being home to Canada's National Ukrainian Festival (45 years) and Dauphin's Countryfest, Canada's longest running country music festival.

The work ethic and warm hospitality of its people have made it one of the hottest sport tourism destinations in Manitoba, having hosted such recent events as the 2010 RBC Cup National Junior A Hockey Championship, the 2010 CJHL Prospects Game, and the 2007 and 2012 Safeway Provincial Men's Curling Championships.
